Bushiroad held the live-streaming presentation event for its DJ-themed mixed-media project D4DJ on April 8, and announced that D4DJ All Mix, the much awaited second season of the project’s TV anime series, is set to premiere in the winter of 2023.
The TV anime’s first season, D4DJ First Mix was aired for 13 episodes from October 2020 to January 2021. Seiji Mizushma (Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) served as director at Sanjigen. While not much details about the new season have been revealed, all of the project’s six main units – Happy Around!, Peaky P-key, Photon Maiden, Merm4id, Rondo, and Lyrical Lily – are planned to appear. Prior to the second season, special episodes D4DJ Double Mix focusing on Merm4id and Rondo are scheduled to be aired in the summer of 2022.

D4DJ is Bushiroad’s third mixed-media project, following BanG Dream! (2015-) and Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight (2018-). Its TV anime first season D4DJ First Mix is available on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
Synopsis:
Having moved back to Japan from abroad, she transfers to Yoba Academy where DJing is popular. She is deeply moved by a DJ concert she sees there, and decides to form a unit of her own with Maho Akashi, Muni Ohnaruto, and Rei Togetsu. While interacting with the other DJ units like Peaky P-key and Photon Maiden, Rinku and her friends aim for the high stage!
