Hey, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fans: Hirohiko Araki wants to teach you to enjoy art.

 

The manga artist will be guesting on an upcoming episode of NHK ETV’s Sunday Art Museum, a program featuring art and artists across different disciplines, regions, and eras. Araki’s episode will focus on pieces from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Araki will be discussing how to enjoy Western paintings from the perspective of a painter. In the same episode, University of Tokyo professor Atsushi Miura will discuss appreciation of Western art with religion and mythology as motifs.

 

Hirohiko Araki’s episode of Sunday Art Museum airs in Japan on May 8.
