With former world number one player Ash Barty retiring from tennis, Australia needs a new tour de force to conquer the world stage — and The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup has answered the call with a full team of new talent, who today made their debut with an introduction trailer, character designs and a cast member list.

 

 

The rank-18 team will have a lot to prove since the tournament is being hosted in Australia, and their competition is already showing their fighting spirit in a visual repost from the series’ official account that also reveals a July 6 premiere date.

Based on the manga by Takeshi Konomi, The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup is being directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi (SKET Dance) at Studio KAI and M.S.C, with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota (One Outs scriptwriter) and character designs by Akiharu Ishii (Noblesse).
