Fans of Junta Shima’s manga may be disappointed that his Murai in Love series ended on June 13, but the characters created by Shima will live on in a newly announced anime adaptation. The official Twitter account for the manga announced the adaptation today saying “Murai&Friends will return in The animation[sic].”

It wasn’t confirmed what format the Murai in Love anime will be, nor when it’ll release or staff and cast members. The original manga has already inspired a live-action TV drama that is currently airing in Japan every Tuesday night on TBS’s “Dreama Stream” programming block.
